Cerruti’s chief creative officer cut his cloth at Gieves & Hawkes and Brioni, so knows a thing or two about European style sensibilities. He’s previously told Robb Report UK that he has an entire stack of Valextra suitcases to house his Savile Row suits when travelling, but what grooming essentials can we expect to find in his wash bag?

Tell us about your grooming regime?

As I travel frequently I need a streamlined and simple routine. For hair and beard I use an electric razor and do it myself. It’s quick, easy, and no fuss. I always have a bit of neat stubble and am rarely clean shaven.

How do you look after your skin?

Skin care starts inside with a clean healthy diet and good hydration. Avocado, nuts and coconut oil are healthy fats that benefit the skin. Green tea and lots of water supplemented by at least one or fresh pressed green juice a day for nutrients and vitamins. I cleanse my skin twice a day and exfoliate once or twice a week, supported by the occasional cleansing or hydrating masque. For supplements I take turmeric, omega 3 and cinnamon capsules.

What skincare do you use?

I use a mix of skin care products but do have favourite. I’ve used Sisley for years and the classic emulsion ecologique is a perfect skin cocktail. Sisley Hydra-flash is my favourite cream for traveling long haul. Dr Hauschka organic skin products smell great and are excellent. The regeneration range is my favourite. The serum, day cream, and eye cream keep it simple with three products. Valmont’s Prime Renewing Pack is also a very good all purpose product that works as both mask and moisturiser.

How long does it take you to leave the house?

I can be ready and out the door in 15-20 minutes. Shower, cleanse, dress and go. Breakfast is always a power smoothie and I prep the ingredients in the NutriBullet the night before which could be any combination of: green powder (my favourite is Amazing Grass from Wholefoods which is very alkalising ), protein powder, organic blueberries, avocado, spinach, kale, almond milk, maca powder, aloe vera, etc.

What’s your miracle product?

Recently I’ve discovered Sisley’s Black Rose mask which is perfect for a big night out or sleepless overnight flight . It’s like a mini facial in a tube.

Do you carry any grooming products with you during the day?

I carry a toothbrush and toothpaste with me during the day and skin care products if I’m coming to or from the gym.

What surprising product might we find if we looked in your wash bag?

As I’m constantly on the go I usually carry some raw walnuts or protein bar. It’s essential as no one wants to go into a meeting with me hungry.
