Eyewear meets footwear for a limited-edition run of sunglasses

New York-based eyewear manufacturer Moscot was plying its trade some 20 twenty years before Ray Ban emerged on the scene. But if you’ve not heard the name it’s perhaps because to this day – over 100 years down the line – it still brands itself as a family-owned neighbourhood optical store (despite having numerous outposts around the world, and creating the specs of choice for the likes of Woody Allen and Jonny Depp). 


Today the brand has launched a collaboration with pioneer of the ‘luxury sneaker’ Common Projects, for a limited-edition run of bluesy-looking sunglasses. Five hundred pieces of the Common Projects x MOSCOT TYPE ONE (£320) come in uniform matte black Italian acetate, offering a neat fusion of sartorial and streetwear styles.
